Job summary

Johnson Service Group PLC is seeking a General Manager to lead the Crawley commercial laundry operation. You will own overall site performance, including production, engineering, transport, customer service and admin, reporting to the Operations Director.

The role emphasizes delivering superior service, driving financial performance and developing future leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in manufacturing, production, logistics or industrial services.
• Strong leadership, communication and influencing ability.
• Hands‑on leader with high standards and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary management team across Production, Engineering, Transport, Customer Service and Administration.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and operational performance while meeting financial targets.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Manage labour, utilities and operational costs to achieve budgeted performance.
• Develop and coaching future leaders to build long‑term capability.
• Ensure excellent Health & Safety and compliance standards.
• Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
