Job summary

phs Besafe is seeking an Operations Director to drive national laundry and service operations across the UK. You will lead strategic growth, optimise productivity and manage major capital investments, while ensuring service excellence and safety.

The role requires strong industrial laundry expertise, senior leadership across multiple sites, and a track record of delivering efficiency and value. Regular travel to depots is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within industrial laundry, textile rental or workwear processing.
• Experience managing multiple operational sites and large-scale production facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of laundry operations, garment care and textile processing.
• Experience delivering operational improvement, productivity enhancement and capacity planning.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
• Demonstrable CapEx planning, business case development and project delivery experience.
• A track record of leading and developing high-performing operational teams.
• Experience working closely with customers to drive service excellence and retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the operational strategy to support business growth and profitability.
• Drive operational performance, productivity and continuous improvement across sites.
• Act as the technical lead for all laundry operations and ensure best practices.
• Lead major capital investment projects including equipment installations and facilities improvements.
• Optimize service delivery, route performance, labour utilisation and production planning.
• Develop and inspire high-performing teams with a culture of safety and accountability.
