Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a senior leader for the Body Structures Team to drive design, development and delivery across multiple projects. Lead, mentor and manage resources, ensuring design integrity and adherence to timing, cost and quality targets within the McLaren Development Process.

The role requires a strong background in body structural design, APQP processes and a track record of delivering high-quality components, sub-systems and systems on automotive programs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree 2:1 or equivalent.
• Management/Leadership training is required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Body Structures team and manage resource allocation.
• Ensure design integrity to meet performance, quality and life targets.
• Manage BOM, cost, timing, and quality targets across projects.
• Oversee design releases in line with MDP/ETRS requirements.
• Execute risk assessment and ensure compliance with IP and design laws.
