Job summary

McLaren Automotive in the United Kingdom is seeking a Body Systems Engineer to drive end-to-end feature delivery across vehicle programmes. This role requires close collaboration with Systems Engineering, validation and product teams to ensure quality, timing and performance targets are met.

You will own requirements, coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to lifecycle milestones from definition through integration, with a focus on delivering customer-facing features and robust system

Qualifications

• Practical experience in systems engineering within automotive or similar complex environment.
• Understanding of feature delivery, requirements development and cross-functional coordination.
• Awareness of cross-domain interactions affecting Body Systems performance.
• Ability to work with structured development artefacts and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Body Systems features with end-to-end coordination across gateways.
• Own or support definition and maintenance of feature and system requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces across system, software, hardware, validation and attribute teams.
• Support planning, maturity tracking and readiness reviews in the V-cycle.
• Assist verification planning, test definition and issue investigation.
• Apply systems engineering methods and tools, and propose process improvements.
