Job summary

Nous is seeking a Head of Business Intelligence to own data foundations, canonical metric definitions and the reporting that Growth, Commercial, Operations and Finance depend on. You will shape the semantic layer, align models with business questions and deliver reliable analytics at scale in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Substantial analytics or BI leadership experience in a fast-growing company.
• Confident SQL with ability to query unfamiliar schemas.
• Hands-on with a modern data warehouse and transformation layer.
• Experience designing semantic layers and BI models.
• Experience partnering with finance on reporting and reconciliation.
• Active use of AI tools in daily analytics.

Responsibilities

• Define canonical metric definitions and governance.
• Consolidate dbt and Omni models and unify the event standard.
• Build reconciliation checks between events, tables and finance ledger.
• Deliver self-serve analytics with a clean semantic layer.
• Own commercial reporting and unit economics with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Growth, Commercial, Operations and Product on reporting needs.
• Set governance for access, PII, and data stack boundaries.
• Advance AI usage in analytics using Claude Code and SQL.
