Job summary

Soar is seeking a hands-on leader for business intelligence and analytics. You will partner with business leaders to define questions, write SQL, build semantic models, and deliver dashboards that drive decisions across UX, credit, collections, investment, and operations.

You will own the layer between raw data and business answers: event taxonomy, metric definitions, and curated semantic models that both people and AI agents rely on.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business intelligence, analytics, or related data roles with ownership of cross-functional analytics priorities.
• Strong hands-on SQL, data modeling, dashboards, and analysis; able to discuss concrete projects you've built.
• Expert SQL including JSON at event/log scale; solid Snowflake experience.
• Hands-on depth with dbt or equivalent transformation layer; solid testing/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set BI/analytics roadmap and priorities with business leaders; lead critical projects end-to-end.
• Build and own semantic layer including event taxonomy, entities, and business metrics on Snowflake.
• Deliver decision-ready analysis with SQL-driven insights for UX, credit, collections, investment, and operations.
• Develop and maintain executive/department dashboards with clear owner accountability and adoption tracking.
• Define KPIs and maintain a practical business glossary for self-service analytics.
• Ensure AI analytics trustworthiness: curate semantic models, evaluate AI/SQL outputs, monitor accuracy.
• Reconstruct customer journeys with sessionization, funnels, and cohorts across systems.
• Implement governance: masking, row-level access, and auditability for datasets.
• Raise data quality: identify instrumentation gaps and define producer-level contracts/fixes.
• Raise analytics delivery quality with testing/docs/version control; mentor analysts.
