Job summary

Nous in London is hiring a Head of Business Intelligence to own core metrics, definitions and the data foundations that drive growth. You’ll lead the models, reconcile data and build a trusted semantic layer across teams.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and senior leads, shaping the reporting infrastructure using Snowflake, dbt, Omni and Amplitude, while pushing AI-enabled analytics and robust governance.

Qualifications

• Confident SQL with ability to derive defensible answers from unfamiliar schemas.
• Hands-on with a modern data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift or similar) and a transformation layer (dbt).
• Experience with BI tools and semantic modelling (Omni, Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
• Event analytics experience (Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4 or similar) and understanding of data discrepancies.
• Track record of defining metric definitions and driving adoption across the organisation.
• Comfort partnering with Finance on management reporting and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Define canonical metric definitions and maintain consistency across reports.
• Own the data models and consolidate dbt/Omni models while aligning with current event standards.
• Ensure data correctness with reconciliation and automated checks as the business scales.
• Develop a self-serve semantic layer and trusted dashboards across teams.
• Own commercial reporting and unit economics: revenue per switch, CAC, payback, LTV, and cohort analysis.
• Collaborate with Growth, Commercial, Operations and Product to build actionable reporting.
• Govern data access, PII handling, deletion policies and ownership of the data stack.
• Continue driving AI-enabled analytics using Claude Code alongside SQL.
