Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a creative and caring Activities Lead to head up the activities and wellbeing programme across the home. You will manage a small team of Coordinators, Assistants and volunteers, designing a varied, person-centred timetable that reflects residents’ interests and abilities, including those living with dementia.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will oversee planning, delivery, feedback collection and budget management to ensure daily life for residents is full of

Qualifications

• Experience in an activity role within a care setting, with some leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to plan a varied, person-centred activities programme reflecting residents’ interests and abilities.
• Willingness to pursue a Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or Activity Provision if not already held.

Responsabilités

• Lead, support and develop the activities team (Coordinators, Assistants and volunteers).
• Carry out regular supervisions, appraisals and team meetings.
• Plan a varied programme of group activities, 1:1 time, outings, themed events and celebrations.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia or other complex needs.
• Build links with local community groups and entertainers.
• Gather feedback from residents and relatives to keep the programme meaningful.
• Manage the activities budget and maintain records in care plans.
• Work closely with the care team and Home Manager.
