Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a Creative and caring Activities Lead to head up the activities and wellbeing programme in our home, ensuring every day is full of fun, purpose and moments that matter.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you’ll lead a small team of Coordinators, Assistants and volunteers, plan a varied person-centred programme, adapt for dementia, manage the activities budget, and build links with the local community.

Qualifications

• Experience in care activities role, with some leadership experience.
• Confident leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Creative background in arts, music, theatre, hospitality or event hosting.
• Warmth and empathy to understand residents’ needs.
• Strong organization and budget tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities team and volunteers.
• Conduct regular supervisions and team meetings.
• Plan varied, person-centred programme of group activities and events.
• Adapt activities for dementia, sensory impairment or complex needs.
• Build links with local community, schools and entertainers.
• Manage activities budget and keep records in care plans.
• Work closely with care team and update Home Manager.
