Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere, part of The Inn Collection Group, is opening its doors and seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team. This live-in role requires a calm, detail-oriented leader who can maintain spotless rooms and public areas while ensuring guest satisfaction from day one.

You'll train staff, manage linen and supplies, report maintenance issues, and uphold safety standards in a 55-bedroom, food-led operation. Join us to help create exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping leadership preferred.
• Strong guest-service focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead by example and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards and safety.
• Coordinate linen and supplies management.
• Report maintenance issues to General Manager.
• Provide regular updates on operations.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
