Job summary

The Inn Collection Group is seeking a Head Housekeeper for Ullswater Inn in the Lake District. Lead a housekeeping team to maintain spotless rooms and public areas, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety standards are met.

You will oversee cleaning, training staff, managing linen and supplies, and reporting to the General Manager, while providing a welcoming, high-quality guest experience. Colleague accommodation is included.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by example.
• Experience in housekeeping management or supervisory role.
• Ability to oversee room/public area cleaning and linen supplies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas to maintain high standards.
• Promptly report maintenance issues and manage linen and supplies.
• Train new and existing staff and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Provide regular updates to the General Manager and coordinate with the team.
• Lead by example to deliver warm, welcoming guest experiences.

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
