LJ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper for a busy hotel in Central Leeds. This permanent, full-time role leads a large housekeeping team, delivering high cleanliness standards and managing budgets and compliance to ensure guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, training, and performance, maintaining strong relationships with hotel management while driving cost efficiency and exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper in a large hotel.
• Experience leading a large housekeeping team in a busy, high-volume hotel.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Confident using IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and team management.
• Solid understanding of housekeeping standards, inspections, productivity, and quality control.
• Experience delivering training and maintaining health and safety standards.
• Flexible, proactive, and professional with a sense of humour.
• Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a large housekeeping team to deliver high service standards.
• Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Manage budgeting, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and company policies.
• Report performance updates to Operations Manager.
