Job summary

Hand Picked Hotels is seeking a knowledgeable Head Housekeeper for Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath. The role involves leading the housekeeping team, recruiting and coaching staff, and ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest experiences.

You will monitor standards, manage budgets, and balance priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, 5 days out of 7, with a 40-hour week and flexible hours where possible.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Head Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality.
• Strong people management and team development skills.
• Proven experience managing budgets, stock control, and labour costs.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety, COSHH, and housekeeping best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, inspiring and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service and guest experiences.
• Recruit, training and coaching a high-performing team to exceed expectations.
• Monitor and improve brand standards and operating procedures to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Manage labour costs, stock control and budgets while balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
