Care South seeks a housekeeping supervisor for Kenwith Castle, a 54-bed residential and dementia care home in Bideford. You will manage the housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring high presentation of resident rooms and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping/cleaning within a care home is not essential but beneficial.
• Ability to supervise a team and coordinate daily tasks.
• Knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to cleaning and laundry.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily delivery of housekeeping and laundry services, supervising staff.
• Ensure maintenance of cleaning, laundry and equipment per instructions and safety guidelines.
• Report and record minor faults and repairs promptly.
• Present rooms for viewing to a high standard.
• Prepare schedules for daily to cyclical cleaning/maintenance tasks.
• Order cleaning products and PPE; ensure First Aid boxes are stocked and accessible.
• Foster a welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Be flexible with hours and part of the housekeeping team.
