Job summary

Cygnet Wast Hills in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and maintain high cleanliness standards across the site. The role includes staff supervision, rotas, and ensuring safe working practices while delivering person-centred care.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, COSHH and Health & Safety training, and a background in housekeeping within care or hospital settings.

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work in care/hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage Team AL/sickness reporting
• Conduct Return to work Interviews (Reporting to management)
• Complete rotas for the team
• Provide a general housekeeping service & ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Conduct regular staff supervision & annual appraisals
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes & monitor stock & equipment
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
• Monitor & audit the level of service provided against the agreed standards and complete stock orders and deliveries.

We are looking for a confident Head Housekeeper with a passion for making a difference to others.

You will be working 40 Hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.00am – 16.00pm or 09.00am – 17.00pm (can be flexible with either timings) Including weekends.

Your day-to-day…
