Job summary

Cygnet is hiring a Head Housekeeper for our site in Birmingham. The role focuses on leading a housekeeping team, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, and maintaining safe, compliant working practices at our Wast Hills site.

The role involves supervising staff, carrying out regular cleaning regimes, managing stock and equipment, and adhering to COSHH and health & safety rules. A supportive, patient-focused environment awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience.
• COSHH & Health & Safety training.
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work in care/hospital setting.
• A friendly, conscientious attitude and positive approach.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide a general housekeeping service and maintain high cleanliness.
• Conduct regular staff supervision and annual appraisals.
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes and monitor stock & equipment.
• Employ safe working practices and follow health and safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations and company policies.
• Monitor and audit service quality against defined standards.

Summary

We are looking for a confident Head Housekeeper with a passion for making a difference to others.

You will be working 40 Hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 16.00pm or 09.00am - 17.00pm (can be flexible with either timings).

Responsibilities

• Provide a general housekeeping service & ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Conduct regular staff supervision & annual appraisals
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes & monitor stock & equipment
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
• Monitor & audit the level of service provided against the agreed standards.
