Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is preparing to open its doors and is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team with a calm, detail‑oriented approach. You will ensure spotless, welcoming environments and exceed guest expectations by responding promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
