Job summary

The Inn Collection Group is seeking a Head Housekeeper for its Kingslodge Inn in Durham. You will lead a housekeeping team to maintain a spotless and welcoming environment, ensuring guest satisfaction through proactive service and attention to detail.

You’ll report to the General Manager, oversee room and public area cleanliness, and uphold safety and quality standards across the property in a hospitality-driven role that blends leadership with hands-on duties.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a housekeeping team and delivering guest-focused service.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of rooms and public areas.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage linen, supplies, and staff training.

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
