Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead our domestic team and maintain a luxuriously clean and welcoming home for residents. You will oversee day-to-day housekeeping, monitor standards, organise workloads and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service.

In this role you will work closely with colleagues across the home, uphold health and safety standards, and support the General Manager to keep the home meticulously presented.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail; proactive work approach.
• Reliable, self-motivated and committed to creating a home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure bedrooms, communal areas and facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard per schedules and procedures.
• Organise daily workloads and monitor quality to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Promote a positive, supportive and professional team culture; provide guidance and coaching as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and relevant legislation.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; report maintenance issues or stock requirements.
• Build positive relationships with residents, respecting dignity, privacy and individual preferences.
• Collaborate across departments to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Support the General Manager in maintaining presentation and cleanliness expected in a luxury care home.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeping Team Leader / Head Housekeeper to lead our domestic team and ensure every area of the home is maintained to the highest possible standard.

About the Role

As Head Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, comfortable and homely environment for our residents. Leading by example, you'll oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring outstanding cleanliness throughout the home while supporting and motivating your team.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the home and build positive relationships with residents, making a genuine difference to their daily lives through attention to detail and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

About You

• Has previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Has a keen eye for detail and works proactively.
• Enjoys building relationships with residents and contributing to a warm, caring atmosphere.

Working Pattern

Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off

8:00am – 6:00pm

Average 35 hours per week

Pay

£13.82 per hour
