Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant in the UK to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home environment for residents. You will follow schedules, support wellbeing, and contribute to a caring atmosphere where residents feel at home.

Working pattern is 8:00am–5:00pm with a rolling three-shift rota, averaging about 31.5 hours per week. Full induction training, DBS check, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, reliable approach.
• Good communication and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the home to exceptional standards.
• Ensure bedrooms and communal areas are clean, comfortable and welcoming.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
• Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and all relevant policies.
• Report faults and shortages of supplies promptly.

We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Housekeeping Assistants to join our team and help maintain the high standards our residents deserve.

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you'll be an integral part of our domestic team, ensuring every area of the home is presented to the highest standard of cleanliness and comfort. Your work will directly contribute to residents' wellbeing by creating a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment where they can truly feel at home.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, and every task you complete makes a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the home to exceptional standards, following cleaning schedules and company procedures.
• Ensure bedrooms, communal areas and facilities remain clean, comfortable and welcoming for residents and visitors.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and policies.
• Ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and report any faults promptly to the Maintenance Operative or General Manager.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and report shortages to ensure the team has everything needed to maintain high standards.
• Use initiative to identify and address spillages or cleanliness issues immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the home, contributing positively to meetings, training and the wider team culture.
• Support in creating a friendly, caring and supportive environment where residents feel valued and comfortable.

• Takes pride in delivering exceptionally high standards of cleanliness.
• Has excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Is reliable, hardworking and organised.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
• Has good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Pattern

8:00am – 5:00pm

Permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off

Average 31.5 hours per week

Pay

£13.53 per hour
