Padium is the most premium padel operator in the UK, proudly growing from our flagship club in Canary Wharf which opened in August 2023, to new locations across the country. Our vision is to build a community-driven brand that delivers a world-class experience before, during, and after every match. Our Cardiff club will continue this ambition, offering state-of-the-art facilities, including high-quality courts, luxury changing facilities, a cafe/bar, pro shop, co-working space, players’ lounge, and a mixed-gender sauna.

Description of the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Coach to lead our coaching programme and player development at Padium. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of expertise in padel instruction, team leadership, and session delivery to elevate our club's sporting standards and grow participation across all levels. Key Responsibilities

• Manage coaches' schedule (together with the Head of Padel)
• Upload activities in the booking system and responsible for their performance
• Planning and execution of socials & tournaments
• Control rating of players in the club
• Ongoing support for the team of coaches
• Time split between coaching and Head Coach responsibilities may vary from time to time where approximately 25-30 hours is spent coaching per week

General coaching responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group coaching sessions for players of all ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to each player’s skill level and goals
• Identify areas of improvement for each player and create plans to address them
• Provide guidance and feedback to players during matches and tournaments
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during training and matches
• Plan and lead clinics, corporate events, and other events
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the padel courts and equipment

Candidate profile and experience

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Coach to lead the coaching side of our new Padium club in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of padel, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality coaching experiences. You should be capable of building and managing a team of coaches, implementing Padium’s methodology, and fostering a vibrant community that reflects our values of excellence, inclusivity, and growth. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping one of the most exciting padel projects in the UK.

Required background personal characteristics

• Proven experience as a padel coach, with a track record of delivering high-quality sessions across different levels.
• Recognised coaching qualification (LTA, FIP, or equivalent).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules, court bookings, and coach coordination.
• Passionate about padel and committed to developing the sport in the UK.
• Comfortable representing the club in front of members, partners, and at local events.
• Confident working in a premium, high-expectation environment where attention to detail matters.

The candidate is expected to start in July 2025.
