Mint People is helping a popular café/bistro in Clitheroe recruit a Head Chef to lead the kitchen and drive a fresh, seasonal menu. This daytime role offers autonomy, a strong focus on quality, and a path to build a local reputation.

The successful candidate will manage a small team, ensure EHO compliance, control stock, and work daytime hours ending by 5.30pm, with salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a café/bistro.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal dishes.
• Strong leadership to manage a small team.
• Knowledge of food safety and EHO requirements.
• Ability to manage stock, suppliers and kitchen budgets.

Responsabilités

• Lead the kitchen with autonomy and ensure EHO compliance.
• Develop and shape a fresh seasonal menu.
• Oversee stock control and supplier management.
• Maintain a daytime operation with a good work-life balance.
• Drive the venue's reputation in the Ribble Valley via social channels.
