Mint People is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a busy country inn in Carnforth, known for fresh, homemade dishes and high service standards.

You will oversee daily operations, develop seasonal menus with local ingredients, manage costs, and mentor a passionate kitchen team while ensuring food safety and busy-service quality.

This role offers £19 per hour with a 4-5 day week and invoicing or PAYE options.

Formación

• Proven experience as Head Chef in high-volume, fresh-food settings.
• Excellent leadership and team-management abilities.
• Ability to manage pressure while maintaining quality.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
• Passion for developing seasonal menus with local ingredients.

• Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes during busy service periods.

• Train, lead, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control kitchen costs to achieve budget targets.
• Implement and maintain efficient kitchen processes and ensure a clean working environment.
