Job summary

Brunning and Price is seeking an experienced Head Chef for Haighton Manor near Preston. You will lead the kitchen, develop seasonal menus, and uphold top quality and presentation across dishes.

The role emphasizes strong leadership in a high-volume, premium fresh-food environment, working closely with the pub manager to steer the business forward. Qualifications

• Experience as head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive food culture in the pub kitchen and work with the pub manager to grow the business.
• Formulate seasonal menus with Executive Chefs and lead a dynamic, high-volume kitchen.
• Maintain highest standards of food quality and presentation and manage stock, GP and labour controls.

As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Haighton Manor is a country pub bursting with character, original features and a big old bar at the heart of all things. Our menus change with the seasons with plenty of opportunity for our Head Chef to be involved and show their personal touch. In addition they have four bedrooms for those who'd like to join us for an over night stay. With plenty of events going on as well, this is an exciting opportunity for a new Head Chef to join the team.

About you...

Our kitchens are dynamic, fast paced, and high volume so you will have experience of being a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment. You will be responsible for the food culture within your pub, working closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward, helping to formulate seasonal menus with our Executive Chefs. We are looking for a confident leader who will nurture their team and create an inclusive and supportive environment. You'll also need excellent business acumen to manage a well-run kitchen, keeping on top of your stock, GPs and labour controls.
