Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is assisting a busy luxury hotel and venue in Hertfordshire to recruit a Head Chef to oversee both restaurant and banqueting kitchens and run service. The role offers potential progression to Head Chef in the future for a motivated Sous Chef.

The position requires a proven track record of kitchen management in a busy setting, excellent communication, and hands-on leadership. IT skills are also important for daily operations and training.

Qualifications

• Experience managing kitchens in a busy country house hotel or venue.
• Proven track record of kitchen management.
• Strong IT skills.
• Hands-on leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support, coach, and train chefs.
• Hygiene and Health & Safety training.
• Cost and margin control.
• Produce fresh seasonal meals for restaurants/events/weddings at the property.
• Run service and mentor junior chefs.

Our client is recruiting a Head Chef to assist the Executive Head Chef in the running of the mulit-outlet kitchens for their luxury hotel & venue based in Hertfordshire. The role is to oversee both the restaurant & banqueting kitchens and run service. The role has the opportunity to progress to Head Chef level in future so is an exellent opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to progress.
