Job summary

St Austell Brewery is seeking an enthusiastic Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a fast-paced pub environment, cooking with locally sourced produce to delight guests.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor staff and manage menus, ensuring consistency, quality and cost control. The role offers opportunities for development and a supportive, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef in fast-paced kitchens.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations and supervise the front and back of house teams.
• Ensure consistency, quality and timely delivery of dishes.
• Monitor portion control, waste and food costs to maximise profit.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source local produce and seasonal menus.
