Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Head Chef for The Cuckoo, part of Vintage Inns. You will lead a kitchen team, drive high standards, and ensure every dish leaves the pass at peak quality. You’ll manage food prep, ordering, and hygiene to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You’ll inspire your team, smash targets, and contribute to guest satisfaction with branded menus and a supportive culture that values inclusion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead a busy kitchen and maintain high standards.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP.
• Inspiring leadership with focus on team development.

Responsibilities

• Train and inspire your team to consistently deliver high-quality food to be proud of.
• Be driven to smash targets with your team, boosting sales and guest satisfaction.
• Kitchen management: food ordering, preparation, and stock control.
• Work with a branded menu and ensure consistency across dishes.
• Oversee that health and hygiene regulations are followed.
