About Al Volo

Opening in June 2025, Al Volo is a quick-service Italian kitchen and espresso bar designed for busy professionals who want high-quality food and coffee without the long wait. Our Monday to Friday (7 AM - 4 PM) schedule ensures that we deliver top-quality service during peak hours without late nights or weekend shifts.

We are passionate about serving exceptional Italian coffee, bringing the best beans, techniques, and traditions to London. Our barista station is a crucial part of our concept, where we expect speed, precision, and warmth in service.

What We’re Looking For

We need a barista who can keep up with a high-paced environment while delivering consistent quality. The right person will be able to prepare up to 1000 coffees a day , ensuring each cup meets our high standards. However, this will not be a solo effort—there will always be at least a till person supporting the barista , allowing for smoother workflow. Additionally, if we consistently reach 1000 coffees per day , we will hire a second barista to support during peak hours.

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone who can create a welcoming atmosphere—someone who remembers customers’ names, knows their regular orders, and brings the Italian hospitality experience to life.

Barista Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee with consistency and efficiency, following Italian espresso standards.
• Work quickly under pressure —we expect a high volume of orders, and speed is essential.
• Engage with customers , building a friendly and welcoming environment.
• Ensure consistency in every cup by following proper extraction, milk texturing, and brewing techniques.
• Manage and maintain the coffee station , keeping it clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Keep up with high demand —handling up to 1000 coffee orders per day , with support from a till person and, if needed, a second barista during peak hours .
• Stay up to date with new coffee trends, techniques, and products.
• Monitor stock levels for coffee, milk, and other bar essentials, ensuring timely reordering.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards , following all UK food safety regulations.

What You Need to Succeed

• Passion for coffee and deep knowledge of espresso preparation.
• Experience in high-volume coffee production , with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Great communication skills —you will be the face of our espresso bar, engaging with customers daily.
• Ability to work under pressure , maintaining speed and quality during busy hours.
• Strong attention to detail —from coffee extraction to milk texture, every cup must be perfect.
• Understanding of coffee equipment (grinders, espresso machines, milk steamers) and how to maintain them.
• A friendly and customer-focused attitude , ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt , keeping up with new trends and customer preferences.
• Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM (No nights, no weekends!)
