Job summary

A specialist SEN school in London is seeking an experienced and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team from September. The role focuses on working with children and young people with a range of communication, language, autism and complex SEND needs to help pupils access education and build independence.

The successful candidate will be HCPC registered, hold a relevant SLT degree, and collaborate closely with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Speech and Language Therapy degree.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with autism and/or complex needs.
• Excellent assessment, intervention and report-writing skills.
• Child-centred, patient and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' speech, language, communication and interaction needs.
• Develop and deliver individual and group therapy programmes.
• Provide advice and strategies to teaching and support staff.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews and outcomes.
• Support pupils with expressive/receptive language and social communication needs.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress.
