Job summary

Grundon Waste Management Ltd is seeking a technically minded professional to support our sales quotations and waste enquiries. You will assess hazardous waste, classify materials, and liaise with clients to gather information for accurate quotations and documentation.

Reporting to the Assistant Commercial Manager, you will help ensure waste streams are managed safely and compliantly, contributing to our mission of leaving a better planet while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Chemistry or Environmental Science; degree preferred.
• Experience with chemicals and hazards.
• Ability to interpret analytical data and apply relevant legislation.
• Proven track record of high-quality customer service and problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
• Able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical assessments of waste enquiries by accurately characterising and classifying waste materials.
• Liaise with clients to gather information needed to prepare quotations and generate waste collection documentation and labels.
• Manage and record all sales enquiries in line with pre-acceptance requirements.
• Maintain clear communication to keep customers and colleagues informed during each enquiry.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while collaborating with the sales team to support business growth.
• Carry out site visits to assess projects, ensure safety, and obtain accurate waste inventories for costed quotations.
