Job summary

WasteRecruit Ltd is seeking a Technical Waste Assessor for a site-based role at Grays, Essex. You will work with the Technical, Customer Services and Sales teams to price enquiries, determine disposal options, and prepare customer quotations in compliance with current regulations.

The role requires experience in Hazardous Waste Management and knowledge of waste outlets and ADR. Excellent organisation, numeracy and communication skills are essential to succeed at this station.

Qualifications

• Chemistry knowledge.
• Knowledge of waste legislation including Hazardous Waste Regulations, Environmental Permitting, and an understanding of ADR.
• Understand how to classify hazardous waste for disposal and transport.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Numerate with an understanding of business costing.
• Profit and service focused.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to proactively manage your time and activities to ensure high level of efficiency and output.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Price new enquiries for hazardous and non-hazardous materials, determining disposal options, customer quotations and compliance requirements, in collaboration with Technical, Customer Services and Sales teams.
