Job summary

WR Environmental is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join our Grays, UK team. The role focuses on analysing and classifying hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, providing technical guidance, and supporting laboratory quality, safety, and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will perform chemical and physical analyses, interpret results for waste management decisions, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related field.
Experience in environmental testing or waste management.
Familiarity with waste classification and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform chemical and physical analysis of waste streams.
Provide technical guidance on analytical methods and waste acceptance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
Communicate analytical findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
Support laboratory operations through equipment maintenance and quality control.
