Job description

Hardware Electronics Test Engineer - INSIDE IR35 - No Sponsorship available

Our client is a leader in the telecommunications industry seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement based in Brentwood.

Responsibilities:
  1. Take ownership of hardware testing processes and produce test reports, including collaborations with external test houses.
  2. Optimize scripts and test tools to enhance testing efficiency.
  3. Support Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation, recommending further investigations when necessary.
  4. Create and manage test plans for new technologies or products.
Requirements:
  • Engineering mindset with eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Experience with electronics test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers).
  • Background in electronics and understanding of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety).
  • Ability to use scripting and validation methodologies to test hardware, systems, and platforms.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and presenting test data.
  • Desirable but not essential: experience in designing test cases with developers, summarizing technical information, managing test work stacks, and scripting in Python.
Additional Information:

This is a 6-month contract operating inside IR35. The role does not offer sponsorship and is based at the client’s office in Brentwood.
