Hardware Electronics Test Engineer - INSIDE IR35 - No Sponsorship available

Our client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement from their office in Brentwood.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of hardware testing and produce test reports, including those at external test houses.
• Optimize scripts and test tools to enhance efficiency.
• Support Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation, recommending further investigations when needed.
• Create and develop test plans for new technologies or products.

Experience & Skills

• An engineering mindset with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience with electronics test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters, Spectrum analyzers).
• Background in electronics.
• Understanding of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety).
• Ability to use test and validation methodologies with scripts for hardware and system testing.
• Capability to sort and present test data effectively.
• Optional: Experience working with developers on test case design, summarizing technical information, managing test work stacks, and coding in Python.

Contract Details

• Initial 6-month contract, inside IR35, based in Brentwood.
