The East of England Ambulance Service is offering an 18-month apprenticeship in the Digital department focusing on the hardware lifecycle—imaging and deploying devices, tracking equipment, managing stock and secure disposal. It is hardware-focused and fully on site, with travel across more than 130 sites and cover at others when colleagues are absent.

Applicants need a full UK driving licence and their own car with business insurance.

Competenze

• GCSEs in maths and English at grade C/4 or higher, or equivalent.
• IT qualification such as ECDL or Level 2/3 IT apprenticeship, or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Respond to equipment requests in line with standard operating procedures.
• Track IT equipment, including the build and dispatch of hardware.
• Image, configure and deploy IT hardware.
• Assist with stock control, reporting stock levels and replenishing across sites.
• Support site visits for inventory audits and update the CMDB and asset records.
• Co-ordinate receipt, dispatch and handover of assets under EEAST security policy.
• Arrange secure disposal of obsolete assets, including wiping and decommissioning.
• Recover overdue loan equipment and unused or obsolete assets.
• Assist with user hardware onboarding and offboarding, including collecting hardware from leavers.
• Support the Digital Service Desk during high demand and monitor designated queues.
• Maintain records and service documentation to EEAST and IG standards.
• Handle routine user requests such as passwords and Registration Authority smartcard tasks.
