Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Handyperson for a 6-month contract in Daventry to carry out social housing repairs and general maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience in property maintenance, general repairs, or assisting tradespeople.

The role offers £20 per hour, Monday to Friday hours, and a work van is available during the working day. This is a hands-on position with a consistent workload and the opportunity to work alongside experienced tradespeople.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or general repairs is preferred.
• Able to assist tradespeople and carry out minor carpentry tasks.
• Groundworks and slabbing experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.
• Assist tradespeople with their work on-site.
• Complete minor carpentry repairs as needed.
• Carry out groundwork tasks and slab work where required.
• Support with general repairs across properties and ensure high safety standards.

The Handyperson role is offering:

As a Handyperson, you will be:

• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance
• Assisting tradespeople with their work
• Completing minor carpentry repairs
• Carrying out basic groundwork
• Completing slabbing and paving work
• Supporting with general repairs across social housing properties
• Working safely and to a high standard

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

• Previous experience as a Handyperson or in property maintenance
• Experience assisting tradespeople
• Basic carpentry skills
• Groundworks and slabbing experience
• A good range of practical maintenance skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Able to get to Daventry reliably for work

Location & travel

This role is based in Daventry, working across social housing properties and surrounding areas. A work van can be used during the working day, but you will need to be able to get to Daventry each morning.
