Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is recruiting a Site based Handyperson for a Birmingham site within a global facilities management organisation in the healthcare sector. You will perform reactive repairs to building fabric with a strong emphasis on plumbing and sanitaryware replacements, along with minor joinery, basic decoration and general maintenance to keep the site safe and functional.

This hands-on role suits a multi-skilled individual with solid experience in building fabric and plumbing,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
• Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong plumbing background is strongly advantageous.
• Strong background in commercial building maintenance.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the role (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods)
• Must be able to pass a DBS check

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive building fabric repairs
• Perform general plumbing repairs and replace sanitaryware (taps, toilet parts, etc.)
• Undertake minor joinery and decoration works
• Support general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe and functional
• Identify and report faults or defects requiring further attention
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance tasks where required

Site based Handyperson – Birmingham – Global Facilities Management Organisation: Healthcare

CBW Staffing Solutions are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyperson to join our client’s on-site facilities team based in Birmingham.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs to building fabric, with a strong focus on plumbing works and sanitaryware replacements. The role also includes minor joinery, basic decoration, and general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well maintained. This is a hands‑on position suited to a multi-skilled individual with a strong background in building fabric and plumbing.

Package:

• Competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum
• Core hours are 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
