Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Handyperson to work on a mobile basis covering the Greater Manchester area. You will carry out reactive repairs to building fabric, with duties including minor joinery, basic decoration, and general maintenance to keep sites safe and functional.

This hands-on role suits a multi-skilled individual and offers variety, stability, and long-term opportunities. An in-depth background check will be required for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
• Strong background in commercial building maintenance.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the role (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods).
• Full UK driving license due to travel between sites and on call.
• Must be able to pass a vetting check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive building fabric repairs.
• Jobs would include unblocking toilets, litter picking, fixing locks, painting, fire alarm testing, cleaning.
• Support general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe and functional.
• Identify and report faults or defects requiring further attention.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance tasks where required.
