Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Ganger/Working Supervisor for water utility projects in Swindon. You will supervise site teams, coordinate deep excavation and pipework installations, and ensure safe systems of work on civil infrastructure schemes.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership with the ability to manage labour, plant and materials while keeping projects running 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• SSSTS and Banksman/Slinger qualifications are required.
• Background in water, utilities, pipeline or civil engineering projects.
• Ganger/Working Supervisor or similar supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teams carrying out deep excavation and water infrastructure works.
• Organise labour, plant and materials.
• Coordinate excavator lifting operations, banksmen and safe systems of work.
• Monday - Friday - 8am-5pm - 45 hour week.
• Up to 10 hours overtime per week, paid at time and a half.
