Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking a Warehouse Manager to own and drive performance across a busy warehousing operation in Droitwich. You will lead the team on the floor, manage stock, control the cutting schedule and uphold health and safety standards daily.

The role demands hands-on leadership, decisive decision-making and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards while handling a range of flooring materials. A full UK driving licence and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse management experience and ability to lead a practical team.
• Experience managing a warehouse operation and daily frontline responsibilities.
• Strong track record of setting standards, enforcing rules, and addressing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team: Manage, motivate and develop warehouse operatives, including the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Set the standard: Enforce PPE and dress requirements daily; safety boots mandatory.
• Control the cutting schedule: plan and organise cutting runs for timely orders.
• Stay ahead of demand: keep stock two weeks ahead for smooth operation.
• Get goods in right: ensure incoming stock is booked in accurately and stored correctly.
• Control stock rotation: maintain rotation and minimise waste and losses.
• Own stock accuracy: ensure stock takes align with actual inventory.
• Own health and safety: maintain safe practices on the floor and yard.
• Drive accountability: ensure procedures and standards are followed.
• Improve performance: create reporting and actions to boost efficiency.
