SPECTRUM IT is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Lead Support Engineer in Nutfield, near Redhill, Surrey, to combine hands-on troubleshooting with technical leadership. You’ll take ownership of complex escalations, drive resolutions, lead the 3rd Line team during major incidents, and mentor engineers while coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Senior 3rd Line engineer with hands-on troubleshooting and leadership experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience handling technical escalations and major incidents.
• Ability to coach and mentor other engineers and improve support processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex 3rd Line escalations and drive issues to resolution.
• Lead the technical response to major and high-impact incidents.
• Provide technical direction to other 3rd Line engineers and prioritise work based on impact and SLA risk.
• Review escalations from lower lines and ensure proper troubleshooting has been completed.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal specialists for deeper expertise.
• Identify recurring problems and drive permanent fixes.
• Coach engineers and contribute to knowledge articles and procedures.
• Maintain documentation, customer communication, security and change control.
