Job summary

Jollyes Pets in Bangor (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead a busy pet retail team on the shop floor, coaching colleagues through live customer interactions and delivering outstanding service. You’ll own the store P&L, drive KPI performance, manage stock and deliveries, and build a strong sales culture with upselling and value conversations.

This 40-hour per week, full-time role offers a competitive salary with a target earnings package and comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for pets and people.
• Previous retail store management experience.
• Hands-on, day-to-day leadership on the shop floor.
• Able to coach upselling and value conversations with customers.
• Strong communication of objectives and team-building.
• Proven track record of developing performance and KPIs.
• Ability to manage P&L and budgets.
• Own transport with a UK driving licence.
• Full-time, 40 hours/week with weekend cover.

Responsibilities

• Lead a hands-on, customer-focused store team daily.
• Manage KPIs around people, standards, service and financial performance.
• Coaching team to upsell and maximise basket value.
• Ensure pet welfare, safety and compliance across the store.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and a great shopping experience.
• Recruit, train and develop staff, and promote Jollyes as an employer.
• Communicate key business updates and team objectives clearly.
• Be genuinely hands-on on the shop floor and with deliveries.
