Job summary

S1jobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead site-based mechanical installations across a varied portfolio of construction projects in Scotland. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

The role covers HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing and related systems on healthcare, education, hospitality, offices, leisure and heritage projects.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical installers, pipefitters or similar trades.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of health and safety on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical installations on site.
• Coordinate mechanical operatives, subcontractors and other trades.
• Oversee HVAC, ventilation, heating and plumbing installations.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specs and programmes.
• Monitor progress and report to project management.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and clashes.
• Liaise with project managers, site managers and subcontractors.
• Assist with material planning and deliveries.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover readiness.
