Job summary

Boyd Recruitment are working with an M&E Contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to cover small works projects between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The role focuses on day-to-day supervision of mechanical installations on commercial projects and reporting to the Project Manager.

You will lead teams of plumbers and heating installers, enforce HSE procedures and ensure smooth project handovers, with a route to progression within a respected Scottish contractor.

Qualifications

• On-site delivery experience as a Mechanical Foreman/Supervisor.
• Wide knowledge of mechanical systems and installation methods.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• SSSTS certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day mechanical installations on commercial projects.
• Lead teams of plumbers and heating installers.
• Implement and monitor health and safety procedures.
• Report progress and liaise with the main contractor.
• Attend site meetings and manage handover paperwork.
• Ensure site inductions and permits are issued.

The Company

Boyd Recruitment are currently working alongside an M&E Contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to cover small works projects between Glasgow - Edinburgh.

Our client are well-reputed within the Scottish construction industry and are recruiting for a key area of their business. The successful candidate will play an important role in team management and reporting to Project Manager.

Due to contract wins, they are looking to add an Supervisor to work on a variety of small works / FM Projects.

Must have experience supervising on similar types of projects.

Dependant on experience, you can expect a competitive base salary, along with career progression.

The Job

As a Mechanical Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Mechanical installations on commercial projects

DUTIES:

• Site Inductions and issuing permits
• Leading teams of Plumbers / Heating Installers
• Managing and implementing Health and Safety procedures
• Reporting on progress and liaising with Main Contractor
• Attend site meetings
• Responsible for all paperwork and handover

THE CANDIDATE

The Successful candidate will have:

• On site delivery experience as an Mechanical Foreman/Supervisor
• Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of Mechanical systems and their installation methods
• Ability to plan, prioritise workloads
• Commercial experience
• Full UK Driving license
