Job summary

S1jobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our Glasgow team. You will take ownership of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to handover, delivering to time, budget and quality targets across healthcare, education, offices, leisure and heritage sectors.

You will coordinate site teams and subcontractors, manage programmes and budgets, and work closely with main contractors and design teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar mechanical building services role.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical installations within the construction industry.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, project programmes and budgets.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to project delivery, with a focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to handover.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Overseeing the installation of mechanical services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing and associated systems.
• Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and procurement.
• Working closely with main contractors, consultants and design teams to ensure effective project coordination.
• Monitoring health and safety, quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and programme challenges.
• Managing commissioning, snagging and final project handover.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and ensuring high standards of project delivery.
