Job summary

KFM Ltd in Surrey is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader to join a growing operation. You will lead a small production team, ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing and adherence to quality standards in a hands-on leadership role.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing and a background in process manufacturing, food/beverage or biotech environments. Flexibility for evenings/nights may be required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' manufacturing experience.
• Experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Operator.
• Strong background in production or process manufacturing.
• Experience in food, brewing, fermentation, beverage, dairy, biotech or similar environments.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process control.
• Hands-on leadership with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small team of up to 2–3 Manufacturing Operators.
• Coordinate daily production activities and allocate work.
• Ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
• Operate and oversee manufacturing equipment.
• Support fermentation, media preparation and manufacturing activities.
• Ensure equipment is prepared, operated and cleaned correctly.
• Monitor production performance, quality and process compliance.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Train, coach and develop less experienced personnel.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and process investigations.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and contamination control.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
