Job summary

Abatec is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business producing high-quality components. The role suits someone with CNC, machining, engineering or manufacturing experience who wants to develop within a stable, growing environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday with rotating shifts (6:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm); pay starts from £14.20 per hour plus £0.50 attendance bonus, equating to about £28,666 per year.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC, machining, engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read technical or engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Willingness to learn and undertake CNC training.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery.
• Read engineering drawings to tolerances.
• Carry out machine set-ups and component changeovers.
• Complete quality and dimensional checks.
• Monitor machines, tooling and production quality.
• Work to production plans and daily targets.
• Report faults, breakdowns and downtime.
• Complete required production paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous CNC, machining, engineering or manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a stable and growing business.

Hours

• Willingness to learn and undertake further CNC training
• Experience with Heidenhain controls would be advantageous
