Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Team Leader for a busy manufacturing team in North Somerset. You will oversee CNC machining operations, drive production targets, and support and train operators on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and/or machinery-driven production environments.
• Proven ability to lead and train operators and manage workloads.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and precision measurement.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on approach to leadership in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a manufacturing team and oversee day-to-day production.
• Allocate workloads, supervise operators and coach staff to meet targets.
• Maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement activities.
• Support machine fault finding, maintenance and tool changes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Abatec Recruitment is currently recruiting for a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our client's busy manufacturing team based in North Somerset.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on individual from a manufacturing, engineering or machine-led production background, ideally with exposure to CNC machinery, extrusion, plastics, automated production, frame build, mouldings, saw or cutting equipment, tooling, mechanical fitting or precision assembly.

Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience would be highly advantageous, particularly for candidates who have allocated workloads, supported and trained team members, maintained production targets and driven quality standards. A strong understanding of technical drawings, machine fault finding, maintenance, hand and power tools, quality inspection and Health & Safety would also be beneficial.
