Chase Taylor Recruitment Ltd is working with a well-established manufacturer in the window and door industry to recruit a Site Maintenance Engineer.

This hands-on role covers planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing site, ensuring machinery and site services operate efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical background and experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance engineering or site engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Proactive in identifying potential machinery failures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns with fault-finding and repairs.
• Support production teams with machinery issues to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and identify solutions.
• Maintain and repair production machinery and tools.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and relocation of machinery.
• Maintain site services and facilities.
• Work with production managers to identify recurring issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure maintenance activities are safe and compliant.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Support continuous improvement for reliability and productivity.
• Liaise with external contractors.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment.
• Support other engineering and maintenance requirements.
