Job summary

Chase Taylor is seeking a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility. You will maintain production machinery, carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure site services operate efficiently.

The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, experience in manufacturing, and fault-finding skills. You will work closely with production teams and external contractors to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance or site engineering role.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance.
• Good communication skills and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform fault-finding and repairs.
• Support production teams with machinery issues and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement solutions.
• Maintain and repair production machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and relocation of machinery where needed.
• Carry out general site maintenance and facilities upkeeping.
• Collaborate with production managers to identify recurring issues and prevent recurrence.
• Ensure safety and compliance with procedures during maintenance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
